Went to Vetri on July 28 with 6 friends. In summary, cramped place, too warm, noisy for being so small, extremely tiny portions of tasteless food that could never pass for the proported "Italian" fare. After their 6 course "wine dinner", my husband and I went home and had sandwiches!! $380/2 people, only minimal food and flavor, and mediocre wines...how pretentious can you get! No wonder they can't open on Saturday nights - local crowd would never let this place survive. It's a place for "one-shot" diners like tourists, not local regulars! As Chapter Chairperson of the Phila. Chapter of American Wine Society, I think I know what I'm talking about!! Extremely disappointing and an expensive lesson learned! Thank heaven we had a ham at home!!
