A casual place with a conscience! I love the local organic foods as well as the daily specials and attention to the bar. We love half price wine on Sundays, and they even let us bring our own with no corkage fee. The outdoor cafe is great fun for people watching and dog petting. We like that the chef is almost always there, not only controlling the food but the entire staff and atmosphere. Every neighborhood should have a restaurant like Derek's

I went to Derek's on Valentine's Day and had a wonderful time. From the time I was seated by the cordial hostess to the check being paid, everything was perfect. All of the dishes were prepared with great care and presented very asthetically. I would recommend Derek's to anyone looking for a great atmosphere and good food at a modest price.
