Good Food, Slow Service

The food is excellent here but the service is extremely slow. They also didn't have highchairs so if you have little ones, prepare to eat with them on your lap. The servers are very friendly though.

I went with my mom and now will be returning with both my parents next week. Both of them had lived in Ethiopia for a few years and said the food is exactly the same if not tastier! Their injera was great!

This is a simple and pleasant place to go if you like Ethiopean food. On every visit there my husband and I have enjoyed our meals a lot. The only consistent drawback is that although the waitresses are very kind, they are extremely slow to acknowledge your arrival, get you menus, take your order, and deliver the food. We have been the only ones in the place and had to wait :-p For us, however, the food outweighs this though the experience could be made better overall.

I went to Abyssinia last weekend with 4 friends -- we split 5 vegetarian dishes, and each had a glass of wine. We each paid $11 -- what a great value for absolutely delicious food! I will absolutely be back soon.

We went on a Sunday around noon. Place was empty except for one other table. Food was tasty but the service was very poor. Compared to the other Ethiopian restaurants in the area, the portions were small and the prices high.
