Well, I went to Emeril's with my woman about three weeks ago and we are still patting our tummies. It was awesome! They must have made some improvements since 2001 when Joe went.

Contrary to Joe's experience above, everything about mine was exemplary. I had been escorting a dozen foster children from here to Disneyland, was worn out, & deserved a break from the junket. The parking accomodations were very good, I thought. I saw your restaurant the day before we left, June 10, & was disappointed to have missed your earlier seating. However, I came back before 6:00pm and was impressed to see the whole crew inside in an obvious team meeting. I was welcomed & seated immediately, with no reservation, under your portrait. I had to reconnect with my group by 6:30pm: so only had time for the gumbo. It was the best I have tasted!!! and I have tried it in New Orleans and all over! The service was quick, polite, and caring. The price was very reasonable, I thought. I had the same in Austin, TX 2 weeks ago-didn't hold a candle to yours, and cost $20.00.

I've heard all kinds of wonderful stories about this restaurant chain, so when a good friend from L.A. invited me there on his nickel I naturally said "SURE!" He had apparently heard the same wonderful stories about their California restaurants and decided to treat me to something special during his visit. On the way there he told me about how difficult it is to get reservations; they only take them so many months in advance, and when a new day is made available its totally booked an hour later, etc. So naturally I was extremely psyched for this dinner.
