I love Pizza. I eat it often. Zachary's is the best in the San Francisco Bay area. The line is usually long, the pizza is always worth the wait.

I've lived in the Bay Area all most all my life and Zachary's is by far the best pizza in the "Bay". Just currently moved to Portland, and nothing comes close. The wait may be long but definitely worth it. If you don't want to wait or don't want to deal with the crowds, phone ahead and pick it up. You can get it half baked or hot and ready to eat.

Ok, but Their Deep Dish Is Deeply Overrated

The lines are long, the place is invariably filled with screaming kids and irritated (and irritating) parents, and the pizza is deep dish, deeply expensive, and really only OK tasting. People act like it's the greatest pizza on earth, but it's merely moderate - no better than some others. They do pack a lot of tomatoes in, which is nice, and the other ingredients are fresh as well, but the service is always rushed and rushing you.

Voted best pizza in the East S.F Bay area 18 years in a row. They've been in business for 19 years. Deep-dish stuffed pizza with an awesome chunky tomato sauce. We've taken these pizzas with us on airplanes to Kansas City and Portland.
