The injira bread is so thick and tender and delicious, I want to wear it. The platters have a lot of food, so don't be deceived by their apparent flatness. The red lentil stew is the yummiest dish, and everything is beautifully seasoned. The first time I ate at Asmara I refused to wash my hands all evening. I just sat at the ballet with my hands up to my nose, so I could continue to smell the amazing spices. I've eaten at other Ethiopian restaurants since then, but Asmara is still the best, in my opinion.
